Great White Found in Bennett Spring State Park

James Martin could tell something was a little "fishy" today as he and his family cast their reels at Bennett Spring State Park. They visited the park with poles in hand and hooks at the ready, each high in hopes that they'd leave with a record bass. None of them could have expected such a sizeable and formidable creature would bite their line, nearly draggin young Brandon into the water. "I just felt a huge tug, and I honestly almost fell in." Brandon told us as he described his encounter with an intruder never before seen in the park's waters. A Great White Shark somehow found its way from the Pacific Ocean right into the quiet spring flowing throughout the park. Oceanographer Jim Gray told BS News that the shark likely swam into an underwater cave and used its fins to crawl through and out into the springs. "The tunnels create a slight warming, which could easily carry the smell of the on-site BBQ restaurant's chicken wings through the caves and out into the ocean." Jim told us as he smiled. "No shark could resist a smell like that."
